This month, or the weeks that I am going through is so hard...
I just dun understand why God is putting me thru all these pain?
To mould me to grow???

1. Family
My parents are driving me nuts...
My mom is insecure and is jealous that I'm spending too much time at my god-mother house, when I wasn't. Scare that I would give the family heirloom (as if there is any) to my God-mother...
I caught my dad watching pornographic VCDs one day when I came back home from work. It's not the first time. And I'm sick of scolding him...
Besides that, they have no faith in me....
I feel very alone. I feel very sick.
A home is no longer a home...

2. Friends
I'm losing myself.
I'm losing my frens.
It's a transition, I know...
From the days, we used to stick like glue.
And call each other up and hangout...
Those days are gone...

3. Church
I'm not complaining...
But lately, everyone's down
Everyone's unappreciative over one another...
I understress everyone's stressed over their work...

I almost choked on my toothpaste...

"With effect from February, our beloved Uncle, PM Lee has raised the GST to a new percentage of 7%!!! [So call to help the poor families] The consumer board and restaurant association is worried that there will be an impact after the hike, and people will start doing their shopping overseas, especially Malaysia..."

For those who are wondering why I started 'securing' my blog, i believe it's better to be transparent than naked. Too much of me might stumble people, and i dun want that...
[But still, i cannot be 100% sure that this is secured as it is just a javascript login, for html programmer... they would know how to crack this]

Just to share with those who's reading...
Sin is not as simple as committing a mistake, hurt or crime...
Although you do not see the after-effects immediately or directly, but they can be quite be fatal...
The most obvious ones are those that cause mental disorders...
There are also those that causes physically illness(eg. skin problems)... Some so bad that it brings cancer...
Besides that, you should have heard of generation sins, curses and vows...

Vows need not be audible ones... Or the ones you cross ya fingers & say out loud... But for example, if your father was a bad man, abuser of your mom and probably hurt you alot, and you tell yourself that you will never be like him when you have kids. You WILL eventually grow into be like him... Sounds scary right?

I'm trying to learn too...

I'm sure you've heard of Black Magic too. Mystical powers from the unknown. Spiritual realms & warfare...
As Christians, we have to fight against all sorts of spiritual realms and powers. It is through our spiritual gifts and the Holy Spirit that we can come to battle these forces... Picture it as 'Captain Planet', 'Mighty Morphine Power Rangers' or 'Care Bears'... It is that we all have different powers and therefore combine our powers and fight the evil. But of course, the devil will always try to spoil our unity..

For those who are suffering from people sins, you would have to go for inner healing. Just like how u see a doctor, and take medication... You need to see a healer to do inner healing... with the power of God. Similarly, just like how u crave for food when u r hungry, we shld crave for God's word when we are spiritually hungry...

NYPCCC update!

Hey guys and girls! We have a new and ultimate vision in NYP as people who inherit the name of Christ! And that is, "Every Christian fulfilling their calling in nyp to reach out the 14k in the power of the Holy Spirit." Notice that it is every Christian, not every crusaders, because evangelising to the mass is never a solo job, even apostle Paul uses other people like Apollos, Timothy to help him! So we must also call every Christians in NYP to recognize each other and work together as different parts in the body of Christ, with Christ as head, to come together and recognize the forces in NYP and go against them, not physically but spiritually. And our slogan is, "14k, here we come!" (by Christine Tan) and yes indeed here we come!

For now, one of the strategy we came up with to reach out our friends and classmates is the 5-3-1 method, which means target 5 ppl we know, and pray for the divine opportunity to share the gospels with 3 in the 5 and believe that 1 will receive Christ. Some of us may already know we have been doing this since last semester but the difference now is that we are combining the 5-3-1 method and interest group together. Interest groups is a new idea we came up with where people from everywhere (let's not limit only to classmates though that is primary but also friends from outside) can gather together weekly, be it Christians or non-Christians to do things that they have in common interest like watching anime and all kinds of sports etc.

So let me elaborate why is it feasible to combine both together. First we start the interest group by ourselves and as time pass we bring and invite other friends we know who have common interest with us to have fun, and from there develop geunine friendship and this is when 5-3-1 comes in. How can one receive Christ if his heart is not opened? So we bring them to us by interest groups and show them our love, do the things we like together and link up with them.

This is the update for now bros and sis, it will commence when school starts again, do feedback questions or comments if you have, transparency is important in ministry. =)

Brothers and sisters, one of the most loving thing God let it happen is that we never have to work alone. ;)

Time flies... 2 years & 2 months have flew past in 'our' lives...
We are now officially civilians, NSMen...
And no longer NSFs anymore...

'We', refers to the group of gentlemen from the 48th PTP Enhanced Batch of Delta Company, School One, BMTC, P.Tekong...

We started off as strangers, yet we spent almost 4 months together exploring the start of a new milestone of our lives. We had lots of fun... and loads of memories...

I still recall my bunk mates counting down to POP...
I still recall Adil saying "Goodnight" to everyone before we knock out...
I still recall Jared & I racing just for the the morning papers...
I still recall the guys running in and out of the washroom in their undies...
Haha... Those were the days...

Actually, many might dread National Service...
But for me, I think it does do Singaporean boys good...
Well, for a modernised country and so well-to-do, our children do get too pampered and take things for granted... 2 years of NS really 'wakes up their idea'...
To me, the National Service is really a training of your mental & physical powers.
It's a place where guys will go thru all emotions together where they've never done before... Joy, Fun, Anger, Vindication, Endurance, ...
But well, maybe once is enough... Haha

Well, Today I had organised a dinner gathering for all of us to catch up...

Man... Now that I've finished my National Service...
I suddenly feel very weird... I feel kinda insecure
I have gone thru 6 years of primary school, 4 years of secondary school, 3 years of Poly, 2 years of National Service... What's next?
There doesn't seem to be any milestone left for me to step onto except one...
[Step into the world]
Sigh... I have finally become an adult. Become an uncle.
I feel like half of my life has already flashed past...
I am seeing things so numb now...
I see people chasing over money, fame and life partners...
Me? I dunno? Sigh...
I've learnt that I dun live to please people...
and that I should not crave for attention from people...
But an observation tells me that Humans have always been looking 4 acknowledgement from Humans... Eg. Why does everyone have an MSN account? Why do people anticipate birthday surprises? Why does people bother to update their Friendster accounts and beautify it? (I hope I din offend anyone)

I suddenly remember my secondary friend 'LongTong', who committed suicide 9 years back(Due to stress)... Gosh, it's been 9 years already... Years are just flying past... My God... I dun wanna think anymore...

I need a friend... err... what am i saying...?

Haven't been blogging much lately...
Have been very busy with work lately...
And kinda stress out...
Headache, stress... and I'm down with a cold & fever...

October has just so many activities this yr...

This week have been a really emotional week...
Not that I was emotional... But there were happy and sad moments...

Monday - VivoCity Day
Went to see the VivoCity @ HarbourFront with Yolanda, Weilin & HuiXian...
The roof floor was beautiful, awesomely designed & scenic, especially at night.
And the playground there was beautiful and fun.
Th girls were really having a great time there and they had lots of fun taking photos in the tunnel of stars...

Tuesday - KFC treat (Hope Anniversary thanksgiving)
Steven met up with all the multimedia gang who helped out in the church anniversary and gave a big KFC treat to all. Marsli, Windez, Peter, Levi, Bernice, etc... were there too. The evening was blessing and fulfilling. Thank God for the food and for Steven...

Wednesday - Pre Weilin's Birthday Preparations
Met up with Clarence after work to recce Esplanade so as to plan for Weilin's birthday surprise... Refer to email for more information...

Thursday - Weilin's birthday
She had been hurt in the past... Feeling neglected during her b'days for the past years...
Never got to really celebrate her birthday with her family...
To her, birthday was just a day to hold her emotions in....

Well, the CG was really unsure how to celebrate her birthday...
And some couldn't make it on the actual day...
Thus, Jennifer decided to do it after service last Sunday...
And so we did. With no proper planning, we just bought a cake and gave her a surprised be-early celebration...

And on the actual day, we knew surprises wouldn't be anything surprising to her anyway.. and so...
We laid a surprise over a surprise...
[Well, some things couldn't go according to plan as there were quite a number of pple who fell sick or had to go for night school]
1. BCG over dinner @ Thai Express (Esplanade)
She loves the Esplanade, goes there to draw and enjoy the breeze
2. On the way there from the MRT, Yolanda got a passerby (male) to hand her a rose that she bought earlier...
3. At Thai Express, the girls and Clarence had a simple dinner and Yolanda prepared a small cake for Weilin
4. While I was at the rooftop terrace setting up candles and sparklers...
I also laid affirmation 'flowers' all over the ground...
With the help of Clarence & Zhen Ru too..
5. After their dinner, Yolanda then brought the birthday girl up...
And there we let her play with the sparklers and to pick her own 'flowers' of affirmation...
6. I sang a song (Couldn't managed to learn the chords in time)

I'm glad Weilin was touched & healed from that wound people had left in her back then.

Friday - NRIC Day / Siew Ing flying back home...
Upon this week... There goes my ORD ticker in this blog...
I will be ORDing on Sunday... Wow... Time really flies...
So.. was told to go back camp to collect my NRIC...
But my officer was pissed off with my performance...
Well, the story is that I was working on some ops manual for him before I cleared my leave for ORD. and it required the higher authority to approve and vet the contents
By the time it was approved, I was already clearing my leave...
And my officer insist that I finished up the ops manual...
"Why make me come back to work on it when there are other NS boys?", I thought
Hmmm... But i felt bad after hearing that my officer stayed back late nights to work on it... In the end, he made me waste a whole day waiting for him to release my IC...
Felt angry (for his childish), Felt bad (for making him stay late in office), Felt sad (lots of memories in the army), Felt happy (Finally, out of this shitty organisation) A 'rojak' of emotions...

In the evening, went to meet Siew Ing for dinner before she flys back tomorrow.
As time went by, unnoticingly, Siew Ing had saturated into our CG...
And we had already made her part of our family...
(Remember when she just came into our CG to join us...)

And as she struggled to find a job...
It pains my heart to see her so struggling...
Especially when she was in grievence over the loss of a friend.
Although the gathering was short and we just chit chat...
I thanked God for her and her contributions to the care group...
Siew Ing, though it's gonna be a month till we see you again...
But we're gonna miss u so much...

It is Clarence's birthday and here we are to celebrate for him...

All thanks to me and my plot... Clarence was sulking all the way to the party. Complaining how could his Shepherd and EVEN Yolanda... forgot his birthday...

Plot:
Well, we finished lunch @ Le Meridien as usual & I'd told everyone to disperse with their usual weekend excuses... Thenafter Fuqiang and I walked him around... (Fuqiang whispered to me: Man, He is so blessed!!!) Where the rest planned his cake and party at the cafe @ Plaza Sing.

We had went to the zoo.. zoo.. zoo... How 'bout you?

All thanks to Queen Amber, we had the chance to go to the Zoo again. And relive our children days on the eve of Childrens' Day!... Haha... It was really fun seeing animals again... and glad to have my 2 secondary school buddies to join us for the outing... Think WeeKeong really enjoyed his whole 'National Geographic' experience.

It has been a pretty blessing week for me...
and i wanna thank God for that...

In less than 3 days, I got myself a job...
And not any ordinary job...
I am now a Marketing Executive in SUN Microsystems.

Yes. The company that brought you the Java technologies.
For those who are not so IT-savvy, they are the founders who brought you the JAVA games in your handphone.
All thanks to Zhiwei & God, Zhiwei msn-ed me on Tuesday and offered a job opening. And the next thing i know, I was sitting in SUN for an interview on Thursday. In just a 5 minute casual chat, I was hired and told to report work on Friday.
I never even asked abt my pay or working hours... Hehe... >_<
(Well, the pay's about $1.5k - $2k, 5-day work week.)

And Starhub called me to inform me that I have won 2 tickets & backstage passes to attend Joi Chua 蔡淳佳's concert & to meet her for a chat after the concert.

Too bad I had CG, and none of my frens were free to take over the tickets from me. Or some didn't know who was she or not interested... =(...
She's a lovely lady lor. A graduate from SP... and a lady with the most gentle & sweet voice. A very natural girl. Natural as in she's so fair and so 自然。她不过于打扮，却仍然清纯漂亮。She's also the one who brought u the hits... 有一天我會 & 陪我看日出

Lately, I've been watching this HK drama on SCV...
Great storyline and touching...
For my non-chinese friends, the title means
'1 house, 2 families, 3 surnames'

The story revolves around these 5 kids, whose mother died in a car accident & their father, a doctor who goes around Africa healing the sick, died of cancer. Leaving the 5 kids to his brother-in-law & sister-in-law...

The drama really made me teared... It talks abt different problems in life...
Life encircles on love. And love comes with jealousy, comes with misunderstanding... Overall, we do love each other... But we are blinded by the things we do..

Watch it for yourselves, and you'll know wad i mean.
It's available in VCDs at all video shops. Though i doubt there is chinese subtitles.
But fret not, Mediacorp will sure telecast this in no time... Or u can pay me to subtitle them... haha... just kidding.

American pop queen Mariah Carey recently has announced that her two biggest loves are God and her pastor.

The singer credits her faith with helping her recover from a breakdown after the failure of her 2002 album Glitter.

After being dropped by Virgin Records, she was picked up by Rev Clarence Keaton who helped her rebuild her life. The minister performed with her on stage at this year's Grammy Awards.

Throughout her lifetime, Carey has spoken about being reborn multiple times.

According to an article in American magazine Cosmo Girl, Carey said: "I do believe that I have been born again in a lot of ways. I think what I've changed are my priorities and my relationships with God."

HISTORY MAKER - HAPPY 15TH BIRTHDAY HOPE SINGAPORE!!!

After so many weeks of preparation, finally the anniversary is over.
My Church's 15th anniversary, that is...
The guys took 3 days 2 nights to work on the bulbs.
And i too spend a night at Nexus doing the video testimonies.
God... I was so tired. Glad everything is over.

Well, a lot of efforts has gone into this year's anniversary. It's only this grand every 5 years.

My feedback ah?

Visual -
- Lightings: Should have troubleshooted the 'History Maker' lights to make sure. As it was this grand.
- Sound: Feedback could have been avoided. No excuses.
- Screen: As there was quite a distance from the stage to the people at the back. Yet the screens wasn't showing much of what's happening on stage. and it was so unprofessional to show a blue or black screen in an event so grand. And my videos & others were cropped.
Choir - A 100-man choir. But not impactful. They should have had a stronger basses, tenors, altos & sopranos style. Perhaps go soul. They 'so' got covered up during P&W and it just sounded like a whole church singing...
Worship Leaders' Musical - As they look like small matchstick figures on stage. Their actions should have been bigger and enthusiatic. They looked bored. Waiting for their turns...
Time Tunnel - Could have been better, more interactivity. But wad to do. So little pple for the ministry

But overall, we did a good job la. Love the songs [Especially Psalm 78], love the dance too & the confetti.
I made lots of frens thru this too. Let me see, let's thank God for the pple i know who put this all together.

The couple is officially wedded...
The lovey dovey couple Eugene & Jacqueline are officially wedded.
It was really a very touching ceremony.
The couple saying their vows to love each other.
The couple thanking their parents for bringing them up & hugging them.
It made me teared... It reminded me about my parents too.
And then... Eug played on the piano and sang for Jac...
It was so touching... U can really feel his love for her.
Feel happy for them. But a bit weird to accept the fact that they are both husband and wife.

I love the 'flower girl' and the 'page boy'...
They were so adorable and they liked me a lot too.
The 'page boy' was so cute. He held the girl's hand as if they were the ones getting married. And he kissed her on the cheek. Oh my gosh...

The dinner was lovely. But little did most know that we had 'escargot' for the first dish. [Appetiser] Escargot = Garden snails. The brown slice thingy. THEY WERE NOT MUSHROOMS, for goodness sake! Haha...

We couldn't eat in peace until our performance was over.
Also, I wanna take this chance to thank the girls 'Giselle & Weilin' for availing themselves to help out for the song item, when I approached them on behalf of the guys. They never rejected me and gave their best they could. Thank you girls.

It was a tiring day. But glad all the work was over.
The couple will be flying to Australia for their honeymoon on Monday, 930pm flight...

1. We are both Christian.
2. We are both good looking. (Hehe... >_<)
3. We are cool in nature but can be great comedians.
4. We were in NPCC before
5. We both worked @ TCS b4. (He's still in it...)
6. We both have 1/4 Japanese blood in us. (Surprised?)

And he was a total outcast.
But amidst all these. He stands strong and tall...
He is a leading Singaporean example.

Last week was a historical moment week. On Thursday, what has been taught in Science textbooks since 70 years ago was proven wrong and adhered... This really puzzles me... it shows that there are vast too many things in this universe that Man have yet to uncover or grasp. And sadly to say, some of my family ancestors died with the knowledge that Pluto as still a planet in our solar system. For more info, see here

I was on despatch duties y'day...
(As in office delivery boy running from camps to camp delivering mails/articles)

Well, my camp had hired a corporate driver outside camp to fetch me around in his van.
As we were unfamiliar with each other for the 1st time, he opened up with a chat...

Driver: "Eh, boy... U know IMH? Woodbridge Hospital?"
Me: "Yah... why?"
Driver: "Well, I was driving some nurses there y'day... to distribute the Subutex and..."
Me: "uh..huh.."
Driver: "You know, the crowd for the Subutex thing is really going crazy... Due to the ban of selling Subutex in the clinics last week, the locals can only collect their Subutex from the hospital now. And those who come to get it will be tagged. Can you guess how big was the crowd that came?"
Me: "Hmmm... A few hundred?"
Driver: "Nooooo..... Where got so little..? It was a total of 6000 people. Ages ranging from 14 - 80 plus year old. And some of them, after consuming the pill, they go to the loo... gulge and vomit the pill to sell it again to earn $$$"
Me: "Oh my god..."
Driver: "Yup... But each person is only allowed a pill per 3 days you see, that's why lor... Then, among the crowd... I saw some girl having a baby in her arms when they came to get the pill... the so-called 'dunno' boyfriend or husband with her also... whole family lor... "
Me: "Haizzz... Sad siah... Shouldn't the government do something about it? Like I thought we had a drug rehabilation center or some sort..."
Driver: "Well, it is the drug rehabilation center who is at fault now. The Subutex given by them was supposed to suppress the drug addicts from their addictions. But turns out, they found out a way to make themselves high from the use of Subutex. By taking sweet stuff. Example; Cough Syrup..."
Me: "Wah Lau... Like that no hope liao lor... Haizz"
Driver: "Yah... And i pity the kids and baby. So young. And the mother must have been addicted since pregnancy. The poor baby didn't choose to take drugs lor. I hope he doesn't get deformed or turn retarded in sum way. And also... Those small boys, 14 years old only lor... They'll do anything to get the drug due to addiction. Steal, snatch, rob, bully. That's why it's hard for the garment to put a total ban to it. Or else there'll probably be chaos."
Me: "What is this world coming to sia..."
Driver: "But i guess, most of them were Malays. I'd noticed Chinese don't take this kinda things. They go for high-class stuff. Like Ecstacy, Ice or Heroin. These Subutex too cheap thrills for them... but once, there was the glue-sniffing period. THAT... the Chinese had majority..."
Me: "Wow... if you never tell me... i also dunno all these sia... sigh..."

Today got Unit Retreat @ Salvation Army HQ...
Waiting for the toopid PC repair man to come back with my CPU...

Evening gotta go PAM's house for rehearsal...

But we did a small celebration of Shelby's birthday...

My affirmation for her was also screwed up. Dunno wad i was toking...

I had just returned from a 2 days 2 nights stay @ SGH Ward 48 Room 26 Bed 9 retreat... hehe...

I'll summarise wad happened in points den...
* Was involved in a fund-raising carnival @ Hougang Mall last Sunday 13 Aug 06
* Went to do my Dental FFI @ SAFTI On Monday 14 Aug 06
* Suffered from tummyache on same day. (Food poisoning...)
* Went back to camp to work... Fix fish pond. Pipe connector leak. Uniform drenched.
Caught a cold.
* Went back home. Saw doc. Doc thinks food poisoning, dehyrdation. Thus heaty and giddy. Got some medicine for food poisoning only.
* Went back home. Vomitted porridge I had for dinner. Slept. Woke up. Temp 38.8 degrees Celcius.
* Admitted to Hospital. Put on drip. Had injections
* Warded. Blood examinations shows too much white blood cells.
* Hospitalised for 2 days.
* MC on Thursday, Friday.
* [Search For Significance] class on Thursday @ Yolanda's place.
* Friday, cooked dinner for Gerald, Giselle & Weilin @ Yolanda's place again... And practiced song for Eugene & Jacqueline's wedding.
* Saturday, Unit retreat. But couldn't make it. Waiting for PC technician to come deliver PC. As my mom dunno anything.
* Rushed to Salvation Army to meet them then Pamela's house in the evening to rehearse song with Priscillia & Pam...
* Service @ Sunday

It's been a great day today... Junwei, my NS colleague invited me to go to his house along with my other colleagues for a night stay... Really appreciated it. And the next day, a game of tennis @ the Kallang Tennis Courts. Heheh....

i've lost so much of myself along the way. it's high time i gave it all back. i don't deny i have in more ways than one gave up on you, Jesus. & now i know better, i gave up on myself. many times i lay down and wonder how much life had strayed, from a path i once knew so well about. ever since i lost faith in the people from church, i found it hard to step amongst people who proclaimed their love for you, yet guilty-ly harbours hypocrisy. i reckon that was stupid, and it took me so long to finally comprehen the very simple fact that ceasing from church only because of friends is hypocrisy, myself - we worship God. not friends. i fear i sound wishful, but if i could, i would turn back time and change that very event. because even though having the wonderful relationship i have now, i still do miss the one i had with the man above.

about the one i have now, we have came so far. & each step i took deepens the fear i had about having it end like the previous time. overcompensating, overstating and overdoing not only results in the outburst of paranoia, but also builds up the very thing i want not to be there, a barrier. of all my relationships, i've always wished i would cross the threshold of obsession, the threshold of a very surface partnership. but apparently they didn't because none of them worked out. it's probably due to these pasts that made my heart long to give more, in hopes of getting where i want - how wrong can i get?

because today, i was delivered from these high-school-crushes relationship. the epiphany of having the perfect relationship, is actually quite simple. i don't want to live in mere fear of how it would end, or how i should keep it going on anymore. why should we focus so much on the bad, when there is so much good in my life right now. i know better now, because we've not only cleared up so much shit - i think i've finally gotten pass the threshold. i don't deny still being as numb as a 5minutes soaked-in-ice feet, but i also won't deny that i can't live my life on nails anymore. it touches me how you tried so hard to find the words to convey everything, breaking it to me gently - and rationally. & i'm glad you understood from my point of view also. it really is that simple. i'm looking forward now, because looking back is so passe. we have alot more to learn, and i promise i'll be a good student.

school has been tough on be today, because i've grown to realise how much it differs from secondary school life. how unpredictable the people are - and i'd give up anything for God's discerning voice to guide my every path.

dear God, tomorrow i swear i won't act this way.
but i know that seems like what i always say.
but it doesn't really matter to me,

Review on [The Lake House]...

THE LAKE HOUSE
One movie that managed to mesmerised for dunno how many years the last one did.

The moment Weilin showed me the trailer.. I was like "woah"... So romantic and touching... If you haven't watched it, I would recommend you to...

'The Lake House' is based on the Korean motion picture 'iL Mare'

Dr Kate Forester (Bullock), a lovely and lonely single woman, leaves a message for the next tenant of the house on the lake she’s just vacated asking him to forward her mail. When architect Alex Wyler (Reeves) moves in and reads the note, he believes the woman’s a loon. Her letter makes reference to paw prints by the front door that don’t exist and a box in the attic that’s simply not there. Instead of tossing the note, he writes her back – basically questioning her sanity.

Fairly quickly through a series of short notes, Kate and Alex discover they’re living two years apart in time. She’s in 2006; he’s in 2004. After digesting that strange little phenomenon with nary a sideways glance, they begin a relationship carried on only through letters left in an apparently magical, mystical mailbox (how the mailbox works and why they don’t question the mini-time machine’s existence is never addressed).
While the whole time traveling romantic angle is promising, it’s also a challenge to keep the plot moving along when the only way we know what the two are saying to each other is through voiceover readings of the letters. Shortly into the film that trick wears thin. The Lake House bogs down as neither main character is all that interesting, taken on their own. Bullock’s Dr Forester is a depressing woman without much personality and Reeves, try as he might, can only bring Alex to life for brief moments. And due to the film's 'letters passed through time' premise, Bullock and Reeves only occasionally share time onscreen, which is a shame as that’s when the film actually picks up speed.

A few unnecessary characters are thrown into the mix, only there to try and provide backstories for the two leads. Christopher Plummer pops in as Reeves’ famous architect dad and delivers a couple of tedious speeches before exiting the pic. Shohreh Aghdashloo (recently seen in American Dreamz) plays Bullock’s best friend, a relationship that simply doesn't work. There’s little connection between the characters with their interactions appearing formal and forced, making it impossible to buy their friendship.
If you’re a masochist then analyzing the plot of The Lake House will be something you can sink your teeth into. Otherwise, don’t even attempt to try and connect the dots. There’s an abundance of cheating going on in the storytelling and a very predictable pay-off at the end. Too much is asked of the audience in terms of suspending disbelief and logic. Without giving away any actual spoilers, it’s tough to address the inconsistencies. Suffice it to say I lost track of the, “Hey, wait a minute… Wouldn’t he/she have known?…” moments early on, which begs the question: if we can figure this dilemma out quickly, then why can’t the two supposedly intelligent participants see their way to a solution?

The scenery is pretty and Chicago’s getting a lot of play on screen recently (with this and The Break-Up). And there’s no doubt exhibitionists will be looking for a lake house like the one Reeves and Bullock briefly called home. But Alejandro Agresti’s (Valentin) direction of this remake of the Korean film Il Mare lacks sparkle and not even the streets of Chicago or a spectacular lake house can save the film. Agresti’s shots are straight-forward and simple which results in the film being too clean. With a romantic movie that requires the viewers to set aside logic and that takes place in two different time periods, the director needs to be a little innovative with his photography and set-ups to try and keep the audience emotionally involved. That just doesn’t happen with The Lake House.
Something’s terribly wrong when the most engaging character in a Sandra Bullock film is a female dog named Jack. A disappointing reunion of Bullock and Reeves, The Lake House might work only for those diehard romantic movie fans who are able to forgive the film’s many flaws and concentrate on just the love story.

I dun have digi-cam & so i nvr take photo of my CG's ORD chalet...
But it was kinda fun...

The guys slept together most of the time...
Interest way of fellowshipping... haha

Our chalet was a 4-room bungalow chalet...
with no walls surrounding the living hall...

Didn't like that feeling. Felt exposed...

The BBQ on tuesday was nice...
but i felt that the chalet and food was just too big for only the 8 of us.

Finally the crazy world cup everyone in this universe is chasing after is OVER...
Staying up late just to see a group of different country/language/culture people chasing after a small ball...

Today, the stupid TAXI companies in Singapore raise their cab fare so bizarringly... I feel like boycotting taxis from now on!!! Stoopid... the usual 240 becomes 250 now...
And peak hour's surcharge rises from $1 to $2!!! I pay $4.50 just upon getting onboard a CAB!!! This is crazy!!! This is daylight robbery!!! Arrghhh... screw the taxis committee in Singapore. They're just making the poor uncles and ah gongs lose their rice bowls...

Back from Gump... I mean...Camp...

Back from Melacca, back from camp...

Asking me how was camp?
Well......
for those who didn't go, or couldn't go...
You guys sure missed out loads of fun & blessings...

On day 1, we left Newton @ 0800hrs... Headed towards the 2nd link...
Travelled along the highway... Sleepy... zZzZz...
Reached Mahkota Shopping Center @ Melacca around 1 plus...
Went 'Shopping' and had lunch there...
Reach Riveria Bay Resort @ around 2 plus...
Got room keys... [416]... Jerry was supposed to join me...
But too bad, he had some commitments back at Sg.
Happily, i tot i had the whole room to myself... hehe...
But Charlie swopped my room with Kehan & Gerald...
And so... I joined Charlie and Tianhan in their 2 rooms suite...Hehe...
Had welcome ceremony in the evening... and a rehearsal for the 'Kawan Showcase'

Following that were workshops and teachings. The workshop was so cool. Especially the one by Yien Shen. "Joy-filled Life". It was like a drama workshop. So fun. Seeing life at the many different angles. For the Kawan Showcase, things cropped up a little... The multimedia part... Props and stuff... but we managed to pull thru... thank God..
Now the whole church recognises me as Baby Forrest Gump. Ahhhhh... Even Pastor Jeff was like, "Hey, Forrest... what's ya name ahh?"

The other teams were also very good. Loved the 3 little pigs one... [Chang Shung(Clarence Ng's Kawan) was so cute as the 1st pig.]
And the musical teams... were so touching. I bet Eugene put a lot of work into it.

The camp was a little tight scheduled... Not enuff sleep everyday.
Yet so many activities...
Can faintz sia...
But God was great all the time. Made lots of frens...
Strengthened our bond among the CG.
Honest, after the camp...
I love my CG now so much.
They are like a family to me....

Overall, it was fun and blessed.
But the service there and hygience sucks big time.
The lights in our room blew out in a bunch leaving the room semi-lit.
Asked for house-keeping & they took like half to more than a day to come.
Tianhan mentioned that he smelled stale frozen chicken used in the chicken curry from the lunch buffet... Arrgghhh...
The water running from the tap faucet was also either brown or green.
(Mind u, we wasn't observant on the first day... and the few of us had this natural brew with our complimentary coffee sachlets. Urrghh... FYI, Kehan was enjoying the coffee lor... LMAO =X)

^_^ He answered my prayer!!! And he showed his covenant!!! Right outside the hotel lobby, facing the shore/horizon on the second evening. (We were having lunch) There's big rainbow that stretches from the clouds to the horizon. So thick and visible. And that was the greatest gift God gave me in the camp. His covenant. I love you, Daddy!

One of my favourite idol dramas... Perhaps it's because there's JY and Kelly in there. Great job JY!!! Kudos to Weilian too...

Recently, I have been facing some relationship problems...

But mainly, wanna thank my 死党 for coming down to support me @ the finals. The performance is for you guys alone. Though i screwed it up...

Of coz, the trophy is dedicated to Ah-Pa (Abba).

Met up Josh to do some shopping at Far East Plaza today...

Been searching for some Kingdom Hearts 2 'Cloud' figurine for him...
He loves it. But it's out of stock... sigh...

Went to the toilets and noticed something...
The toilets have bidet system!!! For those who dunno what 'bidet' is... 'bidet' is a toilet system that washes ya bottom after u do ya business... It is a technology invented and used in Japan for 2 years already. My granny has got one in our home toilet bowl.

Boy, it was a tough competition...
3 rounds, 1st round(Karaoke VCD), 2nd round(Unplugged), 3rd round(Fast Rock Version)

Just like the judges said, some improved from the heats, some deteoriated...

Honestly, compared to the girls, I dun think I did well...
Really, there was nothing much outstanding of my performances.
Din understand why my peeps had so much faith in me?

Darryl(Yang Zi Wen), my senior from Lee Wei Song Music School came down to support me too. So touched. Thanks Bro!!!

In the end, when all my peeps were gone... I was thinking I would never make it to the finals... But turns out, Amos read my name again. Honestly, I dun think I'd did much this time compared to the others... JianMing seemed really sad he din make it... Sigh...

Gosh. Honestly... I ain't happy that I made it to the finals. Have to brainstorm for a better song. No more old songs. And the stress piles up on me... Why? Why does it always happen that whenever I doubt I can win, God makes me win? And when I'm dying to be a superstar, he didn't give it to me when i was younger... LOL
Honestly, I sang at the semi-finals for my peeps. And not for the dreams of being a superstar or whatever... Guess it's the motive bah.

Couldn't sleep. Sms-ed everyone to thank them.

Then... Josh replied...
"I'm drunk at MOS now. Can u come?" - message sent at 4am

He had attended his battalion's ORD dinner at Suntec and had joined his brothers for drinking...

Boy... he was so giddy and drunk. He was sitting outside along the road. I'd helped him to the taxi and sent him home. Opened the door for him and made sure he went to bed.

Boy. Didn't sleep a wink last night... And here I am in camp, blogging to update ya on my singing competition lor. What song should i actually sing for the grand finals? Sigh...

So many things had cropped up lately.. the camp thingy... So stressed

Lately, there has been alot of things happening...
and I'm really going crazily busy and stress...

I guess some pple should know abt the commotion in my CG lately.
No, I'm not gonna tok abt it and stumble pple. It's just the devil messing up again as usual. Thus, we won't give in to him. All I can say is:

"Brothers and Sisters, we are to stop blaming/picking others on whose fault is it anyway... and begin with forgiveness. For we are all sinners. What's the point blaming he and she? Instead, we should love each other more and show grace... Be Christ-likeness. It's time we mature and progress on..."

The commotion has really got Yolanda, Charlie & me busy and stressful over the spiritual health of our spiritual family. Haven't really had a good chat or shepherding with Charlie for this 2 weeks too. Sigh...

Been busy and busy... Really wish to have a good fren to chat with, hangout and let go...

Was suppose to have a secondary class gathering to watch the DVC, but this and that person never pick up the phone. Then cannot confirm the tickets in time. As the cinemas were selling fast, so we decided to cancel the gathering...

But Yinghui (Nicknamed 'Sakura' - Yinghua) wanted to watch the movie with me... and thank God I used to work at GV. So I got for the both of us good seats even at the last minute. Last row from the back... hiak hiak >_< The movie was fantastic. The visual were great. But the facts were bizarreness... The plot was really great but Sakura could tell there were lots of doubts in the film. Though he had a lot of questions.

Funny thing was... after the movie, Sakura asked me to lend him my bible.
He asked if it was a real book or a story book?
And if I could give him my bible to bring home to read...
I told him I needed that for church tmr, but I'll get him a new one.

He was ok with that... But asked if i was converting him anot?
LOL... I told him I won't force him but I'll allow him to make a choice to be saved or not...

Brothers and sisters, I am taken surprise by this incident...
Believe there's a meaning for this. Pls pray for me and my friend Yinghui, okay?

2. Memoirs of a Geisha

I have been dying to watch this 2 movies...
But boy... both are long draggy movies...

Great movie with excellent effects. Simply love it.

Somehow the movie reminds me...
